Sylphs are elemental spirits or faeries. The word comes from the Greek word 'silphe' meaning "butterfly" or "moth." They often appear as winged faeries and tend to shy away from humans. However, as guides they can help us find our inspiration and creativity.
It is beyond amazing that they got my attention at all. I wasn't too open to channeling non-human entities, so 'Aerial', who was the first, had to hitch a ride in on another Symbala. Talk about synchronicity! The piece I was working on was creating the very environment needed for her energies to come through. She came through piggy-back with 'Clear the Air!' (Check that out in the 'Symbalas for Attunement Gallery.) I was still in resistance though and didn't recognize her presence. Someone completely unassociated with me, a friend of a friend, discovered her. While looking at the 'Clear the Air' Symbala, he turned it around and said, "Wow, look at this. There's a being here." My friend called me and said to take a look. Sure enough, there she was. Once I recognized and named her, I opened the door and her many sisters came through very quickly and very gleefully.
They have a wonderful, playful group consciousness when you see them all together. All seven are geometrically grouped in the "Sylph Flower". They make me laugh and remember the feeling of youthful, innocent curiosity and wonder. Click on each one to appreciate their individual personalities and their combined group consciousness.
