Snow Dreams

"In the winter of my 5th year around the holidays, I had a special experience that has not dimmed with the many intervening years. We lived in a large, old frame house in Portland, Oregon. It had a breakfast nook with several padded benches built into its cozy corner of the kitchen. Early evening one night, I wandered into the dark kitchen (probably on a Christmas cookie hunt) and was drawn to the nook which had a big window above one of the benches. The window was glowing with a frenzy of large white flakes made more compelling by the dark kitchen.

"It felt like an adventure; being alone and filled with a sense of wonder, as only a child can know! I wanted to savor and explore this moment of magic, so I tiptoed to the nook and lay down on the bench pad. I angled my body so I could look up directly into the falling flakes. I was mesmerized and relaxed into my unique upward perspective. As I watched, something began to change.

"Instead of coming down, it looked like the snow was going up and I was going with it! I wasn’t aware of my body any more – I was part of the snowfall. I finally became so disoriented that I closed my eyes and came back dizzily to myself.

"I kept my dimensional adventure to myself for most of my life. I didn’t understand it for a long time, but I treasured the beauty, the exhilaration and the mystery of those precious moments.

"As my Symbala path unfolded with its basis in Sacred Geometry, I identified my lifelong fascination with snow flakes and hexagonal geometry. Each new Symbala I draw reminds me of the essence of oneness I experienced as a child and fills me with joy and purpose.

"For me ‘Snow Dreams’ embodies and evokes the wonder of oneness that our ‘child’ knows. Enjoy!"
